Guides · Runs the football

Director

You run the football. Seasons, teams, players, assessments, training, matches and notes across the whole club — not members, sponsors or money.

Where you work

  • The web for setup and reports; the phone for assessing on the pitch.

Setting up the season

  1. Seasons — check the current season is set.
  2. Teams — enter each team into the season.
  3. Players — register players and roster them on a team season from the team page. Moving a player between teams is a transfer: the old assignment is kept, marked transferred.

The development loop

  1. Assess — from a team page, Assess the squad: every player, every skill, last scores on one sheet. Save it once; it is written all at once.
  2. Read the priorities — a player's page shows superpowers, what to work on next, and what got better. The Development Engine computes these; nobody edits them.
  3. Assign training — from the player's training page, build a weekly routine from the drill library, aimed at one priority.
  4. Reassess — a new assessment is a new record. Progress is the difference between the two most recent.

Notes and visibility

  • Every observation you write has an audience: private (you alone, even from the office), coaching staff, club, or family. Families and players only ever see family notes.

Goals

  • Set a goal on one skill with a target level and a date. Achieved is stamped once and appears in the player's story.

The drill library

  • Exercises are shared by the club and linked to the skills they develop. The default library is seeded; add your own.
